Six Feet Under: The Complete Series on DVD

I just finished watching season one of Six Feet Under (which is an HBO show that ran for five seasons beginning in 2001.) I’m telling you this because I think this show is really fantastic and I like to spread the word about things I really like. That’s part of the idea of this website. If you’re looking for a new show to check out, then I do highly recommend buying Six Feet Under on DVD.

I actually bought The Complete Series on DVD because I had heard such good things about it from people (and it turns out they were right) and it’s just the best deal to buy it all at once.

So what makes the show so great? I think it’s the combination of great drama (there are a lot of great unexpected plot twists), fantastic characters (these are some of the best written most complex characters I’ve ever seen on television), incredibly realistic situations (I love how they just put you right there in these very awkward real life situations), and it’s also very funny at times (not just the fantasy sequences, but those are great too.)

This is a smart people show. If you’re intelligent - buy this series. You will like it. On the other hand, I can definitely imagine this show going right over the head of stupid people. For example, if you support the “Republican Tea Party” then you probably shouldn’t waste your time. Perhaps Hee Haw would be a better investment for you?
